What is the Apple Watch Series 2?

The Apple Watch Series 2 is the second version of Apples smartwatch. Released in 2016, the Apple Watch is designed for indoor and outdoor workouts, with a fast dual-core processor. It has built in GPS which records your distance and speed, allowing you to track your route without bringing your iPhone. It’s also entirely waterproof, allowing you to submerge in water up to 50 meters, making it suitable for water related activities such as swimming and surfing. The Breathe health app provides you with a deep breathing session, with a heart rate summary at the end and a smart feature which helps remind you of Breathe.

Features

One of the Apple Watch 2 key features is it’s built-in GPS, as well as the heart rate sensor. Like the first series, it’s notifications are still very much part of the watch. Without rummaging for your iPhone in your pocket or bag, the watch will notify you with emails, Facebook and WhatsApp messages. Apple also upgraded the series 2 battery, making it’s battery life last up to 2 days.

An improvement from the first series, the Apple Watch 2 in comparison is quicker and easier to use. Although this smartwatch doesn’t look to dissimilar to the first series, it’s quick performance and clear bright OLED screen makes up for this.
